Hsiu-Han is an Assistant Researcher at the Research Center for Education Systems and Policy, NAER. After obtaining a Ph.D. in Economics from National Taiwan University, she had worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Economics at the University of Chicago, and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the Tunghai University. 　　Her research interests are in Applied Microeconomics, with focus on the areas of labor, education, and health economics. She investigates the relationship between anxiety and adolescent academic performance, which contributes to labor and education economics. Her work related to health economics examines the impacts of early-life health conditions. 　　Currently, her research focuses on education economics, including investigating the relationships among family economic status, college entrance channels, and academic and non-academic performance of college students. Hsiu-Han will continue utilizing the data on education to analyze important educational issues. Hopefully her research would be beneficial for both researchers and policymakers.
