Biography

Wen-Lung Wu's research focuses on science education, including curriculum development and educational research. Therefore, he is familiar with and interested in education-related research problems. He was an adjunct lecturer at the Taipei Municipal University of Education from 2006–2012 and taught courses such as "Introduction to Science Education," "Teaching Materials and Methods in Science," and "Introduction to Natural Science." Wu's teaching methods are based on the principles of initiative and inspiration. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Top University Project at National Cheng Kung University in 2014 and in the Research Center for Curriculum and Instruction, NAER, at the end of 2014. In the NAER, Wu is responsible for the research, development, and trials of the 12-Year Basic Education Curriculum guideline. Additionally, he is the Principal Investigator of the research and development of science teaching modules. Since becoming a Research Assistant of the academy, Wu has focused on natural science curriculum research and the national defense education. He has also developed a support system and applied the outcomes of research projects outside the academy. Currently, Wu is the Principal Investigator of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The objective of his project is to develop teaching materials and methods of augmented reality in science learning.
