Dr. Chih-Hsuan Chang is an Assistant Research Fellow at the Research Center for Curriculum and Instruction, National Academy for Educational Research. Dr. Chang's research centers on instructional innovation, teacher professional development, and knowledge building, with a sustained commitment to educational reform in Taiwan. Dr. Chang has led the digitization of experimental-education teacher training at the Taiwan Experimental Education Center, and contributed to the Ministry of Education's Interdisciplinary Teacher Development and Talent Cultivation Program, using design thinking to build a nationwide teacher community and advance interdisciplinary teaching. As Director of the Bilingual Education Promotion Center at National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, Dr. Chang led the development of ESP materials under the Ministry's ESP Base Program. Dr. Chang also participates in the Knowledge Building Innovation Network (KBIN), an international project with the University of Pennsylvania and National Chengchi University, through which Dr. Chang earned an international teaching certificate and developed models of teacher–generative AI co-created instruction. Dr. Chang seeks to deepen research and school-based practice in instructional innovation and teacher development, supporting teachers' growth through research and enriching students' learning to help drive continued progress in Taiwan's education.
