In order to face the disadvantages of teaching in higher education, the study of higher education teaching should be strengthened to meet the development trend of international higher education with emphasis on teaching quality and innovation. This study will examine the current status of innovative teaching in higher education in Taiwan, explore its relevant roots, and find out the difficulties of innovative teaching to help the development of innovative teaching of colleges and universities in in Taiwan. Based on this, the main purposes of this study include: 1. To develop "type structure of innovative teaching"; 2. to study "key factors for promoting innovative teaching"; 3. to develop "effective countermeasures for implementing innovative teaching"; 4. to develop "measures to improve the difficulties of innovative teaching ". The research method will use both document analysis, expert interviews, study abroad, questionnaires, and expert focus groups. Finally, the research results will be provided to the colleges and universities or relevant units of the Ministry of Education in Taiwan.
