The main objectives of this research are to construct the appropriate dimensions, items, and indicators of prospective principals’ instructional leadership indicators system for primary and junior high schools, to explore important and feasible degree of prospective principals’ instructional leadership indicators system for primary and junior high schools, to use prospective principals’ instructional leadership indicators system to explore the practical performance, problems, and effective strategies regarding instructional leadership training of prospective principals participating in pre-training of primary and junior high school principal. To achieve these objectives, literature review, interview, panel discussion, the Delphi technique and relative weights survey, and the questionnaire survey will be employed. Literature review will be used to integrate and summarize researches on principals’ instructional leadership, instructional leadership indicators, prospective principal, and principal pre-training. Interview will be conducted to consult experts’ viewpoints about the connotation of prospective principals’ instructional leadership indicators system for primary and junior high schools. Panel discussions will be used to collect the opinions of experts and practitioners. The Delphi technique will be administered to establish the connotation of prospective principals’ instructional leadership indicators system for primary and junior high schools. To understand important and feasible degree of the dimensions, items, and indicators of prospective principals’ instructional leadership indicators system for primary and junior high schools, and the practical performance of prospective principals’ instructional leadership training, the samples of the questionnaire survey will be 3,287 prospective principals participating in pre-training of principal of the national academy for educational research in Taiwan. The final study report will include introduction, literature review, research methodology, findings and discussions, conclusions and suggestions.
